I have a 14 Calais v6 and want to know if it’s worth getting an exhaust

Most of them don't just sound like a fart, they sound like they followed through.
I was reminded only yesterday that Alfa Romeo bought the GM HFV6 but bottom-end only, and then added their own heads & of course made a bunch of stuff really unreliable in the process.
Anyhoo, the point of that here is that those cars actually sound pretty decent! I don't think as good as the old Busso V6 by the time it got DOHC, but still waaaay better than any Alloytec Commodore.
So maybe an Alfa head swap is the way to make one's Alloytec Commodore sound Smurfy? :)

Not many in the aftermarket have built good exhaust systems for the VE/VF V8, and fitting crappy sounding V8 systems on a V6, emphasises their inherently farty note. V6's will never sound as a good as a V8, but you could certainly make them sound smooth and sweet with the right exhaust and muffler configuration. No one in the aftermarket has worked properly at getting the V6 to sound half decent.

Misread.
Low revving engines never sound good with loud exhausts. Just my opinion.

But what everyone has done is just make it look like a V8
with the VF Twin Exhaust Pipes off a V8 looks good Some sound improvements
when idle and over taking it roars
is good enough for my VF Calais :)

That`s the biggest improvement I think one can do
with out going to waste money and time and hard work
and it seems if you go crazy and speed a few more bucks
you car ends up as a farting machine to upset everyone
else if you can handle the droning while the stereo is full on
which some do
good luck to them

All the rage now apparently with how people gush over the Ferrari 296 GTB

Don’t care how good it is, all that money for a V6 Ferrari

Some V6’s sound decent. The classic Alfa V6, the VW narrow-angle one (although the angle’s so narrow that I’m pretty sure the exhaust ports are all on the same side & maybe that’s why it sounds OK), for example. Dunno anything about that Ferrari engine … is it similar to the Giulia V6 ‘cos I’ve heard one of them drive past & it sounded like it could be reasonable (it wasn’t trying very hard at the time).
