Afternoon team. 07 ssv l98 manual.
Check engine light and stability light won't go away after cam install and tune.

Fault code shows manifold absolute pressure fault.

Tuner wiped code and Tuned car.
427hp atw 511nm torque.
Anyway, Wen I got it back, the fault was still there.. we reset it again and It stayed off for ages Then came back on as I pulled in home and sat at idle.

no matter what, we can't get the code to stay off.

i replaced the map sensor for a brand new one. Problem still there.

car drives fine. No rough idle apart from cam chop.. can't find any air leaks yet.

is this something the tuner should have been able to tune out? I'm lost.

or has the mechanic not done something right..light loose earth or something random?

you guys have been my best pace to turn to with the Holden issues.
thanks for all previous help also.

Get the battery load tested at Battery world.

With the work done, there would have been a lot of starts and short runs. Might have been a bit iffy before without you realising.

Might have a crook battery getting low on available voltage for all the circuits. ECM starts rationing voltage by dropping functions, creating fault codes.

Just get that done first so you and us can be helpful with other suggestions.

Pulled intake manifold off incase leaking, trying to eliminate any possibility..don't have leak tester.

Done a manual throttle relearn, rather than a scan tool relearn.
Currently been idling for 30mins . So far no lights.

But this is what happens.
itl run for ages no lights..all of a sudden it will throw the code when I start it next time..or pull into driveway.. so I'll have to see what happens. But I have a feeling it will throw it again....
I'm leaning towards the tuner needs to max map values to it doesn't drop outside the values and throw a code...but I want to be sure that's the case rather than hiding a real issue

Not sure

Back probe the map sensor to see what voltages you are getting.

Yup that's all fine apparently.. I'm starting to believe that the map sensors values need to be set wider so it doesn't loose vac or gain vac enough for the volts to go outside those values and throw the code..
I'm heading towards a phone call to the tuner but I'm trying to rule everything else out first.

What a mission.
