Howdy. I'm rapt to have a project to toy with but hate the fact that my budget means I have to spend the start of the project fixing crap that should have been done by previous owners. I've just scraped out and chucked all the underlay in the boot because it's soaking wet and completely perished. One of the major bungs in the boot is missing. Is this likely to be the cause of the wet boot? The boot rubber looks pretty good but I was wondering if I should be checking somewhere else as well? Oh, car is a VR sedan.
