Had a bit of time to work on the car over the 2 weeks.

both engines have had the heads and intakes removed, and have take them into work for cleaning.
The first one was pretty bad and had a blown gasket, the second was a lot cleaner and looked like it has had some work done to it.
But the cooling system of the second one has rusted out in parts so the connectors are breaking off when removing parts.
So it looks like that it will be an engine built from 2 half's.

Also the rusted out body is 90% ready for a trip to the scrap dealers as it is no good for anything else.

Ill add some photos when I can get so in the day light.

Help! small fuel problem

So I was installing the fuel pump and lines when I came across a problem. The fuel tank is missing all its lines, which I knew about, so I looked up how to replace then. Which is easy but the problem I'm having is the fact that my car was NZ build and from what I understand is the fuel lines are run some what different than an AUS build one. So now I can not work out how the lines are meant to go and I am confused. Can any one help shed some light on the situation? Because the return line comes up past the pump not towards the tank.

big-ish update

So here it is a big-ish update. There is more to add later but these are the only photos I have at the moment.

Here is the test fit of the new relay location. It looks good I just have to test fit the dash over top.

Replaced the brake booster and master cylinder with a VS/VT combo. Just wanting for the line adapters from aus.

Had a problem with the key and it kind of got hit with a hammer. So after that I went and completely removed it and the housing so there no longer a key.

So... Here's a update

So with an unexpected work trip oversea's that took over a year out of project time. I finally gotten back into it and have a little bit of funding. Ive been working on the electrics so that I can get the engine running. It's been sitting for all the time with out any care.

I have mounted a distrubtion block by the drivers right foot to break down the large 0 gauge cable to smaller more usable ones.

From the disturbtion block it breaks down smaller.

Did a bit more work on the relay panel making it cleaner and added 2 150a relays to work as the ignition switch.

Up by the rear vision mirror will be mounted the 2 main power switches and engine start button.

All through there is still a lot of work to do.

The old girl now also has a little sister to keep her company at night

Not much done this weekend, just fabricated a panel to hold the new fuse panel that is coming and the distribution box for the 3 main power cables.
The fuse panel will accesable through the hole where the vk panel is.

S**T Happens

So this happened... Snapped a bolt.

And Im still trying to get the spare apart but not matter what I do it just wont undo. I most be doing something wrong.

So I messured up where to run the main power cable from the starter to the alternator.

Lastly the new fuse panel has shown up. It has now been fitted to the steel mount.
