Most stands these days have useless V notch shaped tops that don't fit your cross member or chassis rails so think about that too.

You don't have to bleed them when changing pads and rotors.
At the risk of repeating myself, lift the cap off the master cylinder before pushing the pads back.
Just make sure there is not too much fluid in the master cylinder that causes it to overflow when you push the pads back.
Brake fluid loves to remove paint.
Drain some out if necessary then top up and replace the cap before you push the brake pedal..

You are comparing apples with bananas but let him do them.
Repco usually have 3 sets of pads and 3 types of rotors, of course all different prices, and the mechanics will always, unless you specify, supply the cheapest type, and, the average mechanic will not give you the parts at their price.

you can buy 2 rotors and pads for under $100

you don't need slotted or drilled rotors for a commodore

jack up the car and put the wheel under the front door

all you need is 19 mm socket and ratchet drive and a G clamp to push the pistons back

it is very easy to do if you apply some common sense
