p0017 code on vf?

Howdy gents,

Got a check engine light come up on my 2015 VF with the 3.6. roughly 160,0000 on her.

Pulled the stored codes and its getting p0017. I know this was a whoooa lookout timing chain possibility for the VE's, but does this effect VF also?

Could it just be the sensor itself just needs replacing?

Any help would be much appreciated.

got a feeling it might be valve timing out sequence on one of the banks , might be the sensor on it

Thanks guys, especially for that doco BlackVXGTS, should be able find the issue following that. For now I have cleared the code and it hasn't come back, will monitor it from now, but if it comes back ill have to dive into it.

I had the same issues a few months ago with my sv6, also has the fuel gauge playing up also once it hit 3/4 of a tank when light came on. Scanned and had a high voltage reading on fuel level circuit 2 so ended up having the secondary sender unit replaced
