You know what. I just went through loads of photos. I vaguely recall being glad I had to remove the HVAC anyway. It has to come out in order to get the pedal plate out? Maybe.

Ahh sweet thank you, and I’m going through my Haynes manual, there’s actually a pretty decent step by step for a lot of it

I did have to remove the steering column. Have a blanket to wrap the wheel in so you don’t scratch up the leather.

I do recall marking the position of the steering column with a paint pen. However it wasn’t accurate enough. Use a carbide scribe (cheap to buy and handy AF) to mark the steering knuckle and column. Do it well. A steering position relearn might still be needed after it’s all reinstalled.

Okay copy that, is that what you had to do for yours? And will I definitely have to do it because on the steering column I can’t actually see a sensor of any sort

It’s mounted in the clock spring.
