Thank guys. Just bought a vf storm ute auto drove it around a bit before buying seemed good but on the way home I noticed a small shutter sometimes when speeding up more noticeable when going up a hill any ideas of what it could be?
There is no noise with it, no movement in gear box that I can feel, no grinding noise coming from the diff, doesn't seen like the motor is moving could it be a vacuum hose, catalytic converter or something like that maybe even plugs or leads. It almost seem like the injections maybe any help on what it is would be much appreciated. I'll put it in and have someone check it out. It's under warranty so they should fix what ever it is just hoping its no a big issue and easy fix. Thanks.

Hi guys, I found this post a bit the same discription of issue.

Just bought an ex cop 2012 ve ii omega from the auctions and i have noticed it is doing some found this post a bit the same:
worrying things. Main thing i have noticed is when driving around 60-85km p/hr occasionally it will make a shutter noise as i accelerate which was last a second or two and then run fine. It happens most when the car might be driving up a slight incline or if i let it slow down from 80km to 65km and then start climbing again it will have a few second shutter. but thought id hopefully get some sort of idea what could be the issue from you guys on here.

some mentioned it could be the torque converter.

thanks!

2012 should be the 6 speed auto
which are very reliable
start by giving it a good service
new plugs ,air filter, oils
and quality parts. not cheap chinese crap off ebay

Yes I'll post the issue as soon as I find out and it's running right.
After driving it for a couple of days (not much driving but enough) it seems more like it's missing rather then a shutter so seem like a small issue hopefully, dropped it off today at dealer he has it booked in for tomorrow so should find out by wendsday the latest, I hope.
Thanks

Well picked up my ute today all I think the dealer done was take it to the mechanic put it on the reader there were no errors or none before. Can't have a auto trans look at it till a couple of weeks. He said it might be the injectors or what I said it might be the talk converter. He filled up the tank and put injection cleaner in it said run a couple of tanks through it see what that does he also put another bottle of injection cleaner in the ute. So on the way home I blow the cob webs out a few times it seem to be running better or rather the shutter or miss fire has died right down so it seems I guess time will tell. I'm going to have it looked at myself if it continues with the full tank so I know what's going on and mybe take it to an auto repaires to see what they say. Someone out there must have a reasonable idea of what it is. I was hoping someone on here has experienced it before anyway still waiting to have the issue solved, hopefully soon. I'll keep you informed.
Cheers

a stutter could be anything
maybe 100 different causes
so a forum cannot diagnose it without a lot more information

Also a major trans service has not been done which not only is important service task but eliminates a cause of your issue.

This thread has several solid posts suggesting what to look at and they have not been done so far.

We have a lot of experience and some have a lot of training as well.

Posting on any forum won’t generally result in a magical answer. We will offer suggestions of where to start looking. Most of those require specialised tools to explore them, and also degree of effort from the people asking the questions to action them.

No worries thanks for the advice much appreciated. When I searched I didnt really see any related post only the one I mentioned above. I am going to take it to a auto trans shop and see what they say also having plugs and leads looked at and maybe the injectors blown out or cleaned after that it should narrow it down. I will post all out comes and what it was if it can be fixed.
Cheers.
