Looking at getting a turismo blue VZ SV6 within the month, some websites are saying its only P-plater legal in QLD, SA & VIC. I swear ive seen P-platers with SV6s before?

Don't see why an SV6 would be illegal, heavy car with a N/A 6.....you should be fine

Unless your looking at S/C V6 (supercharged V6) on the page....that gets a lot of people

VZ SV6 Alloytec either come in 175kW or 190kW variants. My best mate has one, grey sedan manual, goes alright. QLD Transport has upped the maximum power output for P-platers to 210kW to accommodate for the new VE 3.6L SIDI V6s. What a joke I reckon.

But back to point, the SV6 you are looking at is definitely legal for you to purchase/drive.

Correct! That is true yes, but a VZ Commodore Executive is still the Alloytec 175. SV6 is the Alloytec 190. Even the VZ Calais had the Alloytec 190s.

Cheers for the info guys! Putting a deposit on it tomorrow. Should be mine by the end of next week. I was looking at a VE SV6 at the dealers across the road but turned around to see the VZ only $1.5k cheaper but i couldnt resist. Here come the long days and sleepless nights until i have it parked in my driveway!
