Timing belt

Hi. i've had an engine light come up for an oil issue. replaced the sensor, light still came up. Having the oil flushed out but they're saying it might be a timing belt and quoting $4000. It's almost at 200,000 so I'm going to have to make some hard decisions! Anyone else had to deal with this? Do we keep going? Just had to do the alternator. 2009 VE 6L Calais.

These don't run a timing belt. 4k is ludicrous for a V8 timing chain. Close to what some charge with the V6 that runs 4 cams and multiple chains. But even people are doing those for $1600-2500.

Take it somewhere else.

HAS 2 OIL SENSORS, one in side of sump, and back of passenger head
