Street version is more like it, the other one wont be happy unless it's flat stick around a nascar track.

I think that will be the go for you just keep looking around a reading what companys make good crate motors and get one from someone that ships them out here

If you were keen on an LS it is do-able, in the january 2010 street machine there is a TT LS2 LX hatch. What are you going to do to the car itself. I'd reccomend keepmit as original as possible, keep the rims it came with in the shed and whatever parts you take from it there to. From a Torana perspective I'd say look at some 17"-19" 5 spokes and so forth. SLR kit kept on and make sure it looks like a torana should, bloody tough

Can't put more than 15 inch rims on a Torana, they look silly

You can, but they do have to be the RIGHT rims for the job. Take a flick through a recent SM mag and there is an ad in there for some 5 spokes (rounded spokes) and they call them showrims or something. Them in 17" are the sex if your looking for show and go.

I'd be going for something like 2TOUGH's rims:

next to SLR 8000 (LITRE8)

These are the ones i was talking about, Show Wheel Streeter, they don't look too good on the smaller torrie:

TOTALLY AGREE.....Anything bigger than 15" on any old car is crazy talk.

Nice looking Toranas there, all destroyed by crap wheels....

Agreed, agreed and agreed. Big wheels on old school cars looks as retarded as a the heart-shaped exhaust tips on your local bimbo's Excel.....

Modernise if u must, but keep it along the lines of how it was back in the day. :)
