Sadly yes there is, i did leave a google review for them hahaha and decided no on the car, on further investigation it appears to be a ex-nsw police car.

Yes a couple of dealers out my way have already removed holden from there signs, another holden dealer closed up shop literally weeks after holden closed the plant. I think and correct me if i am wrong that they have to provide parts for at least 10 years.

There are very easy-to-meet conditions that allow you to step around that 10yr thing. One is if the manufacturer of the part no longer exists. It'd have to also allow for the manufacturer to still exist; I doubt Australian government rules have any sway in the US, should they decide it's not worth selling Chevrolet Special Vehicles here.

I wonder if we will see alot of either really cheap new holdens come end of the year or alot of really expensive new holdens dealers think will be worth gold.

I don't think that any dealer will think they can sell a car without a brand behind it; said dealers won't be selling Holdens any more, after all.

Not if you purchased a V8 it’s not....Chevrolet have not stopped and won’t stop making LS engines any time soon....future rev heads are already drooling and hoping to land a Holden V8 and that won’t stop...

Engines are made by GM Powertrain, not Chev.

Which owns Cheverolet which build small block Chevy engines which is what an LS3 is and why a lot of VE 8 cylinder owners put the Chevy symbol on their rides....

    Sigh....

The only reason people put Chev bowtie badges on their Commodores is because they are ignorant d!ckheads.

Just as your TV isn't a JB HFi TV or a Harvey Norman TV coz you bought it from there, LS engines aren't a Chev engine just coz Chev sell them.

Given the tone of your posts I can see that you won't listen so run along and stick that Chev bowtie on your Redline.

I see where you're going with this ... and agree you're technically correct ... but I think the way GM allows branding & general references to say they're "Chev" engines (marketing based on the legacy/history of Chevrolet's engines) I think it's acceptable to refer to it as a Chevrolet engine.

Well considering GM own the Chevrolet business....and hence produce Chevrolet vehicles and pay a Royalty to use the brand name Chevrolet.....I WOULD SAY Chevy selling an LS engine would make it a Chevy engine.

    Sigh

Nope.....not sure what you don't understand about the fact that Chevrolet does not manufacture the engine.

You can say whatever you like. Doesn't alter reality.

**** me what don’t you people understand about GM “owning” Chevrolet........they own plant; machinery everything that was/is Chevrolet but pay a Royalty to sell under the banner Chevrolet.......they are made by GM sold by Chevy as a Chevy engine.....they are a CHEVY
