This is my RE003 vs Kenda
I assume they are the same width and profile yes?

The Kenda look like they have a wider tread width

Can you not plus size the tyre a bit for a little more "buldge"?

What are the wheel specs?

Yeah. Same.. 245/35/R20

Rims are 20x8.5"

Easier solution is to ban Mrs from driving it :)

There are some brands (not sure of which ones) that have a rim protector bead on them....

It's a thick 2MM or so wide section of rubber that protrudes out from the main portion of the tyre, near the bead that is there to help protect the rim from those gutter scrapes...

To find out which ones, it's a case of knocking on the door of a tyre store and asking.....Then take it from there

I'm running Bridgestone Potenza Sport. Good rim protection.

I would be looking at 255/30 17 tyre for street duties

2mm more sidewall (I do like my sidewall), and a "little" (5mm) "poke"

You probably won't even notice any speedo change of concern

I always go max tyre size for rim width on street cars

Much better :) Fixed today.

Also fixed spare which had some scrapes so I can use it as backup if another wheel cops it next time
