How about a gun metal grey with the red pinstrip. Not as heavy as black.

Maybe something like this

+1 for gun metal grey.
and if it matches your reapers, then even better, that makes the subtle link :)

Not much to update:
Coat of Paint over engine crossmember,
Sanded and zinc coated my battery tray (will paint later)
Got HPC coated springs back,
also got intake manifold back, TBC and SO2 coated (thermal barrier coated and Oil shedding on the base) I might paint the top the same colour as my wheels.
Sanded back and re-painted engine mount brackets and fitted new rubber mounts
Split trans from old engine,
fitted trans cooler lines to new engine,
Removed and drained torque converter, dropping it off tomorrow to get it cleaned and flushed as well as the nose (front) trimmed down a few mm.
possibly still not sure what is happening with Harmonic balancer.

Should get the stall point increased just a bit on that converter :)

Too much extra work over and above what is being done to it already (I already asked :) ).
And in all honesty it is not really in the spirit of the original build parameters/ideals.

Torque converter could not be skimmed, but i sorted an alternative. Engine and trans are now bolted up together.

a few things to go. fit balancer, fit top end and dissy, one engine mount, drop it in, hook up wiring & exhaust, battery etc and done. I don't seem to have many hours to work on it though so could still be a while yet.

Yeah should be able to finish work early and make it up to race, see you there

Update:
Balancer is fitted, Dissy fitted but timing isn't double checked and obviously not torqued down yet. 2nd engine mount is on. r/h head is rebuilt with new seals and springs.
got a new dipstick O-ring today (HD part #11110)

Cometic Head gaskets should arrive on Monday (hopefully Friday though)

Next up:
strip/clean/build l/h head.
modify injectors, fit to fuel rail, fit to intake.
Modify head studs to suit
fit heads/ rockers/ intake/ dissy cap/ plugs& leads/ fit throttle body.

Still waiting on head gaskets to arrive!

cleaned and mostly rebuilt L/H head, except for valve seal #16 which is getting sent down with the head gaskets, grrrrrrr

I have tapped a few head bolt holes a little deeper so that the studs sit down flush as per their design.
Really just waiting on gaskets before going much further TBH. It's quite frustrating really!:realangry

On a side note, I went drag racing on the bike on Sunday and came home with a trophy:cool:
