so you know when you're browsing facebook market place, it starts sending you simlar stuff to what you are searching for...

well I bought the L67 ute..

then a couple of days after it showed me this really tidy pretty much original white VS ute with only 97K's on it.

no price.. looking to swap for a 4wd.

I've got an 05 Rodeo duel cab tray 4x4......

So I sent the info about my 4x4 just to see if there's any interest.

He asks for pics..

I send pics..

He seems really keen..

F**k..

I know my daughter would love it.

My daughter can't drive the L67 on the road since she's on her P's
But I checked, and she could drive this nice white one.

So I think I'll do a deal with her, I'll swap my 4x4 for the ute, she gives me her Getz, which is immaculate, I'll sell that it will all work out.

So he brings it around, it's very nice, bonus massive stereo again LOL daughter loves it.

Extra bonus, it's column shift and in between the bucket seats the arm rest folds down into a 3rd seat..

Long story short. I keep the getz and stick it under the house, to save for my other daughter to have when she gets her license in 2.5 years.
(car was hand me down from my mum to my daughter, so tons of emotional attachment, thus we are keeping it. )

We were all set to race each other at WillowBank, till it was cancelled due to weather.

So tomorrow I think we'll go out and get some photos of both of them.

Here it is, the 2nd bloody ute LOL

to get the roadworthy for this one, I'll put the wheels from the other one on it and remove the tint and I think we'll get away with it. everything else works fine.
he's spent a bit of money on this thing over time, he's had it for 7 years, he nearly cried parting with it, but he's happy with my 4x4 , straight swap.

Think it needs black strip in front bar to match rest of the car...looks tidy.

Should do v8 conversion for her so she make ya look bad on burnout pad :)

I know most people remove all the strip mouldings but I prefer the look of them on. Plus it adds some protection in car parks.

Each to their own.

re my daughters ute, it's totally up to her.. I'll just make recommendations not to do anything that can't be changed back to original later on etc.

Fitted the new sub to my ute this arvo..will put up pics later of the install.
