ofcourse a modded car will beat a stock car.. a modded corolla could beat a vy :s

take a new sports model corolla for a drive, they match the new v6's in performance and will easily get overtaken if you dont put the foot all the way down. even the new mazda 3, 2 litre auto would pretty much match an auto v6 commodore.

noone had to tell me i just hopped out of the driver seat of one about 10 minutes ago.. ive flogged the crap out of both the mazda and my mums vy s2 v6 and there dead even acceleration wise, even the gear ratios are the same. i can get 60km/h out of first and 110km/h out of second. we also have a mazda sp23 here although ive not driven it but apparently theres not too much of a difference.

Go put the foot flat to the floor in your mums car and youll see what i mean

i gtech'd it at 8.4 seconds 0-60, exactly what your vr v6 does stock standard.

And its alot lighter and manual?, there would be a difference it might get a commodore off the line maybe but the commodore will catch up quick.

even from 80-100km/h on it would near match a commodore, there quite quick for a 4 cylinder.
