Hey, the low beam headlights on my sons VT 99 are not working at all. Tail lights are fine, so are high beams. There is a click when turning the dial. I don't have a multi meter. Would changing the relay and putting in new globes be the best place to start. Thank you.

unusual to blow both lows at the same time ....unsure if it could be the light dial

cant remember is there is a separate fuse ...... or relay for the lows

are the dash lights and parkers working

to do a simple check change one bulb

diy check a two or three pin bulb works ......or all in one hi low bulbs

get a length of insulated wire ..strip of the ends of the plastic insulation attach one wire end to one battery pole
rest one bulb terminal on the other battery terminal
touch the other bulb contact with the loose wire

I thought it was unusual too. That's why I thought something has thrown them. Have changed the headlight fuse probably was no point as they were and are working on park and high beam. Yes dash and Parkers are working.
Thanks will try testing the globes that's an awesome way

Swap over the low and high beam relays and see what happens.

I have had 2 low beam bulbs blow at the same time, one failed spectacularly and I think took the other one with it somehow which is odd because each headlight has it's own fuse.

Thank you all. I made sure the horn worked and swapped the horn for the low beam. He now has working headlights but no horn. Will buy a new relay tomorrow, now I know what the problem was. Love the easy fixes
