Op’s last comment was on page 3 post #52 so we don’t know the outcome... he was going to test the oil pressure but then the thread jumped rails

Have you checked your engine mounts ??? Then check exhaust bolts on the heads, then check the vacuum hose under the plenum. You will never believe even a failed water pump can make you think the timing chain or valve train is shot.

Thanks for all the help but now.... It's stuffed. Got sick of lockdown, drove about 300k's. I tell you what, it's got one hell of a knock now, hahahaa. Parked it at a mates place. The cars in good shape other than the cataclysmic engine failure. Looking at getting a replacement motor. Have been considering a super 6, but I think i will stick with N/A.

My problem is where i am, the garage has a carpeted dirt floor on a slight slope so it would be a nightmare maneuvering a crane. So i'm looking at paying someone to do the swap.

Would there be any issues with a VY ecotec into a VX II, I wouldn't think there would be but i'm not 100%
