What engine oil?

Hey all seeing as im getting ve soon, and as soon i get it i will be giving it a good service just wondering what grade you's use? 5w30 or 10w40? im leaning towards the 10w40 i use it in my current ute and its great

It wil be going in an 9.5 Ve ssv with prob under 25,000kms

run a 30 weight oil still, 40 weight is a bit thick for those motors when new.

Any reason youre using twice the weight of the recommended oil?

Yeah mate. 5w30 edge is good oil and a good price. They recommend that weight for a reason.

Yeah i think that i use a 5w30 semi-synthetic

oh ok awsome, now i was gunna just continue to use nulon, however anyone tried Royal purple heard pretty good things about it

Dont spend a fortune on fancy oil, just use good oil such as Castrol and change it regularly (every 7500) and you will never have any issues.

You dont need to use synthetic oil aswell. A semi-synthetic is just as good
