I think he means when you put the rotors and pads on.
I have no issues with my car as is, just want firmer pedal feel.
System was bled properly

Id say 1 hours for a competent mechanic, I did it in backyard with jack stands in 2 including the brake flush. Just ensure it’s a quick change over as the issue with abs would be if you let air in the lines and it gets all the way to the abs module which requires a tool to cycle it to get air out. (Extremely rare)

The mech that did mine let air into the abs module, but having said that, the safebrake line also failed mysteriously at install and I had to oraganise a local knock up. Good times!

To add to the knowledge base. I recently did all 4 to stainless lines using HEL.
First time changing lines, wasn't too hard.
Once undone, have to grind off front 2 stock brake hoses from the metal bracket, then pop the HEL ones in and use a retainer like the rears. Mine didnt fit so had to file a bit, then it was no problem.
Once lines changed, I bled brakes normally.
Then did ABS brake bleed, and a decent amount of air came out.

Definite difference in pedal feel

What did you grind off?
I can't image to replace a brake hose, you would be required to grind the old one off.

You need to, unless you get a hose with the bracket included.
In the pic below you will see the stock lines. The line is moulded into the bracket. To re use the bracket, you need to grind the top part of the hose off, then punch the bottom out.
