Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
I reckon you might struggle to get it back in shape. Not sure about VZ but the VE one wraps under the rotor. I reckon it would be hard to straighten it back out properly? Just my thoughts and I could be wrong.I've done a VZ Ute. The rotor shield needed to be flexed a tad but it was pretty easy to smack out and pull in
They don’t take up any room to have spare. Dont do it, and Murphy’s law says you’ll need them.Speaking about VE Wheel Studs,
I have a couple of old front Hubs from my VE,
As I replaced them at 150,000 k/m,
Because I could at the time,
But the old ones have been left out in the rain,
So would it be worth pressing the old studs out ?
Save them for a rainy day so to speak ?
Thanks mate. I'll have to give it a go this weekend. Hopefully just a hole and away I goBest to book it in then. If you are handy on the tools you could pull the shaft and knuckle as one unit and replace the lot with a SH one and keep the other as spares. I'd have to check but IIRC the backing plate will interfere all the way around. You can get away with drilling a hole in the backing plate to access the stud.
