The factory immobilizer is time consuming to get around. A kill switch won't stop it getting broken into. It's your car, I understand that you want to keep it safe. Apologies for my earlier comment.

that was a pretty thoughtless comment earlier. a good killswitch can still be better than an immobiliser.

as for the gear stick, its the grey wire

now i know which wire to add the momentary on switch, i'll also add a master on/off "around it" so when my folks drive it, they won't have to call me up every 5 minutes because they can't get it working

now just gotta follow the cables back the make the insemination

sorry to bump this thread up,

but i got a few more questions
1 how much current goes thought the gear wires & how much thought the starter
2 PM me which wire colors do what (the ones at the end of the key barrel: pink/orange/purple)
3 and can someone please post/PM me a VS wiring diagram, my current workshop manual doesn't help me out alot:bang:

my decent multimeter stuffed up on me a few days ago (it was an 10amp multi anyway)
