Ok... from a wagon lover :axe:.

1) Utes are heavier.
2) Utes are less aerodynamic and therefore use more fuel.
3) Utes are less secure carrying stuff.
4) Utes wont protect your stuff from the elements.
5) Utes are no good if you have kids, or in-laws, or more than one friend in addition to the mrs.
6) Utes wont accomodate a subwoofer (fully sick).
7) Utes don't look anywhere near as good as a wagon does.

Rightio... batton down the hatches, flamesuit on, shields on maximum, and DEFCON 1 is set :boxing:.

(Didnt stop me owning a ute prior to the wagon though :surprise:)

The utes are only a touch lighter than the sedans - about 40kg in it.

pretty sure its the other way around... utes are the fatties.

1. Not by a significant amount
2. VEs are hardly aerodynamic in any bodyshape
3. Never once had anything stolen out of a ute - but my last sedan was broken into 4 times and wagon before that 3 - and if I have anything in the back, it's generally worth quite a bit.
4. They do with a hard cover
5. That's what the Mrs' car is for... :D
6. meh
7. Love the wagons - but the utes look the best, my friend.

There you go - thought I'd get in with a tame rebuttal :p

can't remember the exact weights - either way, there's not much in it. I did think the utes were a shade lighter though. They were heavier a couple of models ago, but have been lighter since VZ, I think...
