Wiring connectors and repair faulty wiring to Oxy sensor

VTII v6 no scharge or turbo

the wiring is coming from the loom/harness to the connector (into which connects the o2 sensor wire plug)
the signal wire (its a 2 wire) has a fracture quite close to the connector. The fracture is probably too close to be snipped and crimped. So will need to replace a length of both wires and solder in ( any alternative to soldering?) into a new two pin female connector. Has anyone done this before and are outfits such as jaycar able to supply the electrical parts.

if you can extract the terminals from the connector, then just solder some "new" wires on
