    the whole rear end is different... when i had my VP with IRS, all i could think about was ditching it for a nice solid axle setup. Camber kits, horrible deflection angles with suspension travel- wasnt a fan at all. Thankfully the wagon is live axle, i prefer it so much more.

    I can personally state that a constantly running thermo is not adviseable, as it will eventually melt your thermo fan relay... thankfully (in my case) the air-con relay is identical. And i have no aircon setup anyways, so an easy replacement. Better to get the thermo switch setup to come on...
