First off, just tried new crank angle sensor, no change. Can only crank it over by jumping relay pins, not with the starter/key. It gave a couple of kicks like it was going to start then just went back to cranking over.

The manifold was loose when we got the car back from RACV after they looked at it 7 or so months ago.

I thought I had erased codes last time.
Here are codes from today:
U0423-00/IN cyl 1 misfire
P0423-00/N starter relay That could be because I removed the relay to jump pins to get the engine to turn over
U0415-0909/IN throttle position sensor/switch 'B' circuit. Range performance problems
P0500-00/N vehicle speed sensor circuit malfunction
P 629-48/N immobiliser fuel enable signal not received
Trans was:
U0121-00/N, U0100-00/N, can-bus no com with ECM
BCM code 18 and ECU code 18 ECC fault

I tried the starter relay test with the relay back in place, the starter would not engage.

If the timing chains were stretched wouldn't it throw a code indicating that?

I have no idea what telematics are, I don't think the car has had any add stuff added. it was bought new for a company car and we are the second owners. By cluster do you mean new instrument cluster? If so yes it had a second-hand one put in a while ago. Come to think of it that could have been around the time the problems started.

Car has 3 knob heater. I have no idea what the capabilities are of the Vident, I will look it up. just tried to refit original cluster, no lights, no k's or anything. put the replacement cluster back in, all the lights and K's come on, tests Ok but still no start or turn over with the key. The security light flashes and the check engine light is constantly illuminated. It has thrown some more error codes, I'll go and get them.
