Little update to the Ute

Correct and if the simple and cheap switch is faulty, you’ll get what you have right now.

Best to check switch with a multimeter or replace the ignition switch on the back of the lock.

$30 and 20 mins of your time.

Or get a multimeter on the back of it to make sure it’s doing what it should.
