Ok. don't know the history of the car. Picked it up today very very cheap. Anyhow. Driving. 1st is ok. Slow to shift out into 2nd though. But when driving at about 70kph. it slams back down into a lower gear. And revs its guts out!.... Any other ideas?

Ok I have a VZ SV6. Since getting it (brought it bloody cheap), the car has had some problems. The fuel, speedo, temp, tacho gauges are all not working. But the digital one in the dash is working fine. Any ideas? I did a search and found that maybe taking the exhaust off and refitting...

so. I unlocked the car with the key. then I wound down the window. (electric). put key to the on position. Hopped out the window. Then waited 2hours. Then put my hand through the open window and the car started fine. Does this suggest that the BCM is stuffed? Imoberlizer issue? Cheers

Just had a look at a series 1 VT v6 PCM plug colour locations. compared to a VT V8 series 1 PCM plug colour locations and they are the same on the #1 plug and different colours and colour locations for many wires on the #3 plug. I didn't compare the number 2 plugs. The plugs themselves maybe...

But. The VS series 3 loom quite possibly has less wires than the VT series 1.... Would like to honestly see a VS series 3 V8 manual loom diagram before I wire it to a series 1 VT V8 manual diagram and damage the PCM or fry a loom.....

But who is to say that they are not plugged differently? The red wire might be in C3 not C4 etc etc.....

this is proving to be near impossible. Even holden dealerships don't seem to be able to help...

Have a VS series 3 manual Ute. I have the original ecu but the wire loom was butchered at the ecu plugs. Can I use a loom from a vp auto v8? Or can I use just the ecu plugs or something? The vs ecu plugs are very damaged as it had an aftermarket ecu fitted. Any help or ideas?
