i have a vr manual and have no idea where the battery-to-amp wire can pass through the firewall, anyone got a suggestion?

ok, yeah splits came with crossovers. but it still puzzles me as to why the amp doesn't have the outputs for tweeters if it's got built-in crossovers, i'm sure i've seen it on other amps. i guess i'd set the crossover on the amp to 'full' instead of 'highpass' or 'lowpass'

just bought a Response Precision (4x100wrms) amp today, gonna have splits connected to channels 1/2 and coaxils on channels 3/4. the amp has built-in crossovers, but no outputs for tweeters, just outputs for speakers. question is how do i go about connecting the splits if the tweeters don't have...

was a blown fuse, replaced fuse and it works. but i now i have other problems. firstly the headunit doesn't turn on automatically, have manually turn it on everytime. secondly the headunit doesn't remember any of the settings i change and so when it next gets turned on, i have to do it all over...

battery was disconnected, and i did test the headunit before mounting, thats how i know it doesn't work. checked the fuse in the headunit and it was fine, will check the others

replaced an old pioneer headunit with a alpine cda-9885 and the alpine isn't working. don't know what would be causing the problem as the wires are connected correctly, it just doesn't wanna turn on. one thing to come of this though is that now the central locking doesn't work :(

i'm using Ferado 'ZERO' pads, seems to be doing the job well, only recently put them on though so hard to say how good they are.

no ABS, the 1" MC i grabbed from a VP wreck. just wanted to make sure that i could do a straight swap, without needing to change the booster as well, coz i don't like my chances of finding the donor VP

what is it with the power steering system in my car. i got the rack and pump replaced eariler this year (rack leaked like a sieve and the pump had a crack in it). today it went in for a service, and they say the rack is leaking again, they only replaced it with a brand new one a few months ago...

looks as though i'm gonna have to do this with my vr wagon, noticed that the carpet in the boot area looked damp and sure enough after lifting the carpet up there was water, both sides of the car :( oh well need to replace all the trim and upholstery anyway

last week i bought a 93 vr 5ps wagon for $5800 in very good condition. so maybe your asking too much? then again mine only had an aftermarket cd player, everything else was stock. good luck with sale

u-pull it had no calais at all, and only one of the commodores even had its instrument cluster, all the other were gone :( was a waste of time, petrol and money (costs $1 to enter the place)

i like the look of the calais cluster over the exec cluster. will be a vr calais into vr exec

will a calais instrument cluster fit into an executive without modification? and if so will it actually work since the fuel gauge is on the left (calais). also i've seen them on ebay and they always mention how many km's are on it, i don't wanna get one if its an issue. going to go to u-pull it...

how do i get to the speakers in the back of a vr wagon. i read a thread about getting to the speakers in vr-vs, but that was for a sedan. bought some new 6" speakers to replace the stock ones and probably gonna install them on sunday, if someone can tell me how to get at the ones in the back
