Well this was first thing I checked but all was ok. Removed IAC cleaned all, back together, reset IAC. In the end adjusted base idle up 1/2 turn 3 times before it didn't readjust itself. Shut down, started, 2000rpm for 30sec. Now drives beautiful!

Yeah, was tuned by HPF in current guise, 355, trans, conv, exhaust etc almost 3 yrs ago. Have swapped TPS, IAC tbody, plugs etc but no better. Only on deaccelaration. Going to tickle base idle today. No codes so far.

If I remember rightly though, VN-VP ECU gets signal from dash. VR and later ECU signal comes from VSS direct. May check readings first.

I'd be interested in speed sensor from the auto trans.

I do need to keep tapping throttle, sounds like my first port of call then cheers. Genuine best or is there a suitable aftermarket VSS I should consider?

Prob can't go past in tank Walbro 342 for capacity and reasonably easy install mate.

I fitted up VS rear arm and brake setup on my VP IRS some time ago in order to get a reasonable range of wheels to choose from. I swapped everything from hubs, to brakes to push each side out further.

Same, 9mm ICE leads but stocky 6ref plugs.

Intank pump finally shat itself late last week - got a new genuine Walbro GSS342 from OnBoost and played over the weekend. All went pretty much to plan - back on the road again!

Hi boys, replacing the intank pump in my IRS VP - part way through the job. It has the plastic fueltank cover on it, so that stops me from removing the sender/pump assembly. So - to remove the plastic tank cover - I have to drop fueltank out - ok, happy to do that. BUT - 2 strap retaining...

Yeah she has the big 80ltr tank in it Sam. Had a strange factory towbar setup with a massive (and heavy) support under the big tank. Took it off and stored it away - must have weighed upwards of 40kg with tongue etc...
