It could be whatever has been sprayed on it as the replacement has better airflow and is not as "shiny". Installed the replacement and it fired up and is running fine. Maybe just a manufacturing fault. Supplier is going to test it & get back to me.

Seems to be a bit restrictive with air passing through it. Used the compressor & it didn't seem to pass through as easily as the standard one. The place I got it from seems to think it may be a manufacturing fault, although they haven't come across it before.

No idea as to why. The place I got it from are stumped as well, never happened before. A couple of mates who are mechanics had a look at it last night & have no answer. They are thinking it is a faulty filter as on of them stuck it in his VZ & it did the same thing. Will wait & see what happens...

I backflushed the radiator and it came out the top of the radiator with some force. The low speed on the fan does not seem to engage. What would cause this and how to rectify. auto elec looked at all that last week and could find nothing wrong. I just had a mate who works for Holden have a look at it and he tried to jump it and it turned over slowly, but would not charge up the battery, he said to get new battery and then we will look at immobiliser or cas.
