I just did the same, my cap looked pretty clean. I haven't wiped mine for around 2 months and there was only a couple of drops on it, so that's pretty good. I'm probably still better off getting a new cap.

I haven't done anything about it because it has slowed down a fair bit, only needs a wipe down once a month. But im pretty sure its a faulty cap. Ill get it looked at next service.

Just an update on this guys, today I had the chance to replace the fuel injectors and fuel pressure regulator with brand new items and also put in a new fuel filter and the starting problems are gone. Fires straight away now. Cheers to everyone that helped :)

I have ordered a new fuel pressure regulator which will be here tomorrow just to rule that out as being the problem.

Just had a look through the receipts and theres one here for a fuel pump and filter replaced around 9 months ago. How likely would it be that this pump is now faulty? Edit: Just checked the vacuum hose on the fuel pressure regulator and it seems to be dry.

Ahh just had another look and I found it. It's not that one at all, it's actually a long one on the drivers side the same as the other 5 bolts on top of the manifold. It's pretty tight in there but I got a normal socket in there and managed to take the whole bolt out fairly easily.
