1995 V6 VS commodore, running rough and very lumpy idle, very sluggish and slow to drive, sounds like a diesel in gear, very tractor sounding.

95 vs commodore
Hey so just done a basic service on my 95 vs, i didn't do anything that i haven't done before ( will list below what i did) but i drove it to work and then suddenly its just gone basically limp? very sluggish and slow to drive and accelerate, very loud and lumpy sounding, running rich and smells horrible but no check engine light, any idea on what it could be?

what i did -
1. air filter
2. fuel filter
3. coolant flush
4. new coolant
5. oil flush
6. fresh oil filter
7. fresh oil

edit : just did spark plugs but no change in sound and the roughness of the idle.

am going to try and see if i can check the codes tomorrow, am also thinking replacing the spark plugs again couldn't hurt mainly wanting to figure out the problem so then i know exactly what it is and how to prevent/prepare for it in future!
cheers in advanced!

Buy your plugs in a shop. Not eBay. Lots of fakes on the online market.

Make a smoker to smoke test the intake side for air leaks. Then smoke test the exhaust for leaks around the headers.

check out the o2 sensor.

Make sure the throttle body is clean.

Coils could be an issue.

Perished leads.

Clean all the engine bay earths. Clean the battery terminals.

Check fuel pressure

This will be ignition related: plugs, leads, coils or dfi.

If you can get your hands on a spare set to test, will make it easier.

I too will say ignition, DFI but would check the fuel pressure before aiming the parts cannon at it.
FWIW have you bumped off or disconnected anything whiles doing your service?
Maybe go over what you did do with a fresh set of eyes...

May have mixed up the leads to the coils?
Some thing very easy to check before disassembly?
