She's beautiful. Love those rims!
If it's any consolation, since I've never had a ute, I didn't know about load ratings for tyres either.

So theyre no good? Do I need new tyres? Can I keep the wheels? Is there any other way around this? Engineered?

its going to have tools in it, 50kg at the most.

on the odd occasion i'll use it to pick furniture up and stuff.

just went out and looked again, 3 tyres are 95w, 1 is 95y

my tyre placard mentions one tyre

245/45r18 96v

does this mean my tyres must be rated at 96?

there is not alot of hard evidence on this stuff on the net haha

i am purely concerned about having an accident and insurance being void.

BTW I thought the max wieght loading for our utes was like 800kg? Was your car lowered by any chance? The most I've had in mine would be around 600kg of galvanised plates for bridge rails. That was on stockies though and it looked like a had a set of SSSL's in haha.

800kg rings a bell in my head also. Yeah the ute is lowered with H&R springs (not sure "how low" though). I've loaded up the tray a few times and this was the only drama I've had. In my profile I have a pick of the ute loaded up with 700kg of tiles, it looked cool but drove like ****. I also just drove back from Melbourne with about 500kg of pebbles and it drove fine.
