ABS module v8 and v6 different?

No. Cars with no traction control will have a 3 circuit ABS unit where as cars with traction control use a 4 circuit unit.

So how can I tell what circuit mine is?

Just look at the top where the brake lines come in/out. Have a look at see what it says, each port is labelled, LF, RF, LR, RR if it's a 4 channel unit.

What a poo of a thing. With the symptom of those crappy beeps. Can't remember if it triggered radiator fans too. Done two in my cars 400,000km life and they are harder to get now from the wreckers. Used to be $50, then $100. I see rebuilt ones for plenty of money online. Wreckers will know, I have a VT one in my VX Series 1. Series 2 and VY may be similar but a VY one did not work in my car. Like said above, just match the numbers on sticker. I will take a pic of my old one if needed. Can't remember if I chucked it or not.
