That's the hard bit to do now isn't it ?, especially if you don't have the correct puller to do the job.

Hey crelok, what puller are you using to get the old HB off with ?

I used a 3 jaw to get mine off the first time. Although the OP may end up pulling it apart trying to get it off if its stuck on.

Yep, that is what I use a set like that. I can't remember the thread size, but my old kit did not have it and made up some bolts myself to suit. It looks like that set may have the correct bolts.

Crack the crank bolt first and undo a few turns. Then use the puller and when the HB starts moving, wind out the bolt a few more turns and keep going with the puller

So i am assuming there is 3 threads inside my HB for the bolts to screw into?

There should be, go slowly as these holes are not strong on the Commodore balancer and can strip easily.

thanks.so other than remove radiator etc do i have to drain oil or that should be low enough to leave it?.

Leave the rad in and remove fan on a v6. You can fit a rattle gun in unless you have a 3/4 truck gun.
