Only a bit of time today in between doing dad things.
Wire brushed the wiper bolts. Then galv painted them. I find a sheet of card board is great. Poke the bolts through and spray.
Will use this method for other bolts as I get ready to put everything back together.
Wire wheeled the corrosion spots in the wiper and HVAC air intake area.
Here is the air intake which has some cardboard sitting in there (waiting for the Navara cabin filter.)
Cleaned out all the bits left after wire wheel on the drill.
Next task, fully mask up the wiper area and get grey cold galv, followed by black galv paint. Then clean up the threads to make sure the motor earths ok.
Also cleaned off all the caked up grease on the bonnet spring. Disassembled it, scrubbed it. Now a coat of grey cold galv in a “box spray booth” and will do black after.
Looks like a dick bolt holds the bonnet closed.
