That recirc door in the first photo on page one looks crooked.

Yea the recirc doors can be changed out through the engine bay.
Please explain how.

You basically just pop it out, It's been a long time since I did one, so I can't remember if it comes as one piece with the servo/actuator or if it's separate.
They fail quite often on the VE.

Yes they do fail a lot. However just popping it out is not something anyone has ever been able to do.

I assure you it can be done, which it seems VT2commie is suggesting too.

Dude, I can't remember the exact process, but a guy I used to work with gave me the parts and told me how to do it.
It's 100% possible to do the recirc through the engine bay.
If you don't believe me, cool that's an issue for you, but I've done it and it's a commonly knowen repair.

Yeah, that's not what FU's pointing out... what we have is (hopefully) a forum we we try to help each other out.

There's lots of 'dudes' that can do amazing stuff - if only they'd actually done it, or helped do it, or tried to offer helpful advice in order to do it.

And no, it just doesn't pop out' (as you say, VT2commie showed).

Some of us are just bloody good with this stuff (whether via educational/technical background or school of hard knocks), and the others are willing to learn and then teach. You'll get a heap more respect with being just a little nicer. None of us can know everything, and just when you need it it'd be a good feeling knowing that others will want to jump in and help.

20 years of threads about VE recirc doors. No one has been able to document it. Until recently. They have to be heated if they come out through the engine bay.

I can't recall 100% but I think last one I did (it would've been 7 years ago) we didn't heat it.
I could be wrong, but I got it out somehow, there's lot's of twisting and turning.
It feels like it will break but it comes out.
