Learn to edit enroh sheesh. Turbo's are far better then what they used to be in regards to lag etc. Don't just slap a turbo on and hope for the best.

So cost wise of a single big turbo?

Sorry if I'm missing a few comments, I'm doing some research into turbos because I don't know a lot about them, so don't follow the posts exactly yet.

Lag is neither here nor there. You want a little "lag" in a street car.
A 6.0 will work well with anything from a 88-104mm turbo range obviously torque curve will vary but an 88mm will make 650rwhp peak and have 1400nm at around 3000rpm. Keep rear a/r to around 1.04 and it will be sweet. A turbonetics tc88 would be my pick on an l76/77/98/s2.

Don't agree with that, turbos (most) have a very" peaky" torque curve.
Pd have a much broader and smoother torque curve from idle.

And with the peak power comment I was getting at peak power means ****....lol.

Peak power means plenty for the overall curve (and depending on the curve), it's just useless on its own. On a PD you have tonnes from idle, but then it's premature eboostulation. A big turbo done well can make big nm in the low revs, then smack it down exponentially to redline.

A whipple 3200 will have more torque from idle to limiter on a 6litre than any turbo in the 88-104mm range.

Yeah I found that page just 5 minutes ago

Sadly I'm not looking to spend that type of $$ at the moment, would prefer $11,000 on a charger.

I've been told I could be set up for $6000-8000 for a turbo..? Or that would be a crap quality one?

Once you include supporting mods pd blower will be dearer again.

You have to take into account fuel system, transmission, diff, headbolts, conrods bolts, etc etc. You don't just slap a turbo or supercharger on and go.

If you do it yourself you could do it for under 12k. But that's doing everything yourself.
