WRX's in auto form certainly are not as quick as people seem to think. The one I learnt to drive in (04 model) would be slightly slower than a VN/VP offline..Not much but it would be slower.
Auto WRX are a ****load quicker then a VN/VP

Stall them up, they get going good to. Hit boost, and you're away.
Your VN/VP is still sitting there attempting to:
A) Get off the mark,
B) Stop wheel spinning

Dyno figures mean jack squat.

The only way to get true figures are to take it to the track. I do not understand why people really care what their rwkw is. Sure its great to know, but i prefer to say around the 330 mark rather than 337.1453224.

I'd be amazed if the AU made 175 rwkw, but then again, they have almost no torque hence why the feel so gutless off the line.

The original shape WRX(pre bug-eye), although not as powerful, is usually a quicker car than newer WRX's, due to power/weight and all that. Auto WRX's are slower than manuals, but I don't care what you say I highly doubt a vn/vp would take one off the line, even though they don't boost up till around half way up the tacho, just the fact they are lighter and have a very responsive feel to them they should have no problem at all destroying one.

WRX's have actually weighed more than a VN/VP since atleast the 2001 model... And I still say a VN will take an auto WRX offline (to like 30 or 40km/h)... If anyone disagrees then find me someone with a WRX and I will prove it.

I always thought that a WRX went pretty good for a 4.

most LS1's dyno in at around 25-30 rwkw less then the true figure, however, as we know holden have really detuned the engines, after a quick tune and exhaust you all of a sudden have as much rwkw as the car come out of the factory with at the flywheel.

Standard loss is around the same for most cars.

And you drive what, that goes how quick to say this?
And how much have you spent on the motor / driveline, compared to a stock WRX?
