yeah well turns out thats false info lol. On the zzp article, they say that oem lifters need 1/2 to 1.5 turns based on 0.05 every half turn. giving it a range of 0.050 to 0.150... but im pretty sure its supposed to be 0.05 every full turn no? so 1-3 turns? i sent them an email anyhow.

Yes and no. If you take the thread pitch of a standard 5/16" UNC bolt which has 18 threads per inch you get .055" per full turn however the rocker isn't 1:1 ratio so when you tighten down the center of the rocker 1 full turn the short end of the rocker will move less due to the rocker ratio.

I don't like that method. The correct method is to measure push rod length at zero lash and then add the amount of lifter pre-load you desire to find the correct length push rod.
