Mylink hack or upgrade

I am using an iPhone 7 Plus and every time I use BT with the Mylink the recorded voice says "Phonebook update failed"

I'm starting to read about a way to either hack or upgrade the mylink as its a glitchy piece of rubbish.

Anybody tried any of these or offer advice on an alternative?

The navi plus unit looks promising but the price is prohibitive to me.

I'm very interestrd to see if someone can try putting a ZB mylink in the VF. That would require someone actually buying a ZB though...

The guy that sells it is a member.
Just keep in mind you are still stuck with the mylink using that system as it just uses the mylink screen as a monitor and aux or bluetooth for the audio.
