Just did an oil change in my car, drained the oil out, filled up 6.7 Litres (what the manual says). Now the dipstick is reading higher but I’m not 100% sure how much as it is difficult to read.
Should I be concerned?
Did you change the filter too? If not, that's maybe why its showing over?

So anecdotally we're meant to accept your experience as fact that everyone's car will be the same?
Can you stop being a fukwit, it would be appreciated.

It's probably 200-250mls over, hardly a reason for concern.
Drive it for a month and it will likely be 100-150mls over.

Hey what can you give a man with 20 years mechanical experience and $100k worth of Snap-on tools and who is never wrong?

I was just making the point that not every car is the same, calm down.
There's aftermarket sumps and oil filter add ons for remote mounting, bypass filters ect.

I just don't like to say everything is exactly 100% identical.

Sorry if I offended you and or JD.

Shane, apology accepted but it's 150-200mls extra oil in an engine designed to hold 6.7L. You should know this will not be an issue.

Start the car let it idle for a couple mins, listening for strange sounds then let it sit for 5-10mins and check the level again.

This will allow the filter to fill and the should hopefully be back in range on the dipstick
