Mate l've only put bikes down the drag strip, but as previous posts have alluded to, just have fun and don't worry about the times.
$3500 bike did a 12 sec run, $25000 bike did an 11 sec run.
The $25000 bike had 70 more HP
and my time was only 1 sec better.
All the best.
1 second is alot though.
My best on my bike is 12.03 (down from I think 13.8 the first time I took it down 6-7 years before that)
And it felt way different to the work bike I took down the track to an 11.2.

I find it's more 'real' to look at the mph's they do over the line.
I cross the line at 108mph, and the work bike went closer to 130mph from memory.

The big thing is to experiment. Try running with your tyres at the same pressure as you normally do before letting any air out. The same goes for heating your tyres up before you run. If you are running slicks that's a different story, they have to be heated up. Remember you are there for your own entertainment before anyone else. Don't take yourself to seriously and have a bit of fun.

So I will be changing out my rear coupling with a new McKay one as it was rubbing on my exhaust and has lost some material.
Question should I replace the front one too, and will a rubber coupling handle it, or should I just go billet? Rubber is about $100 for a McKay one billet is over twice that.

Rubber is about a month or so old 003s.
I was referring to the rubber coupling

RE003 are an average street tyre, you won't be able to hit them hard even on a prepped track, so just launch like you would on the street

I've heard that billet have caused issues IRT NVH

Rubber is fine as long as it isn't old and flogged out

The coupling on my old VX are OEM rubber, cheap, jo NVH, and they have no issues handling the power the old girl is making no problem

Ok, I will grab both couplings in McKay. Should be around $200 for both.

Hahahaha, that won't be any fun.... I'm not planning on doing a clutch dump but I will nail it soon as the clutch grabs.
