my belief
every few weeks, when fully warmed up
give it 90% throttle from about 50km/h
in a safe environment

I usually go for 100%.
I've seen better results.

If you're not constantly bouncing off the limiter, you are wasting the engine's potential.

I paid for the whole tachometer and I’m going to use the whole tachometer.

The good old Italian tune up. It does actually help to not baby it 100% of the time and getting it up the top end of the tacho occasionally helps clear out carbon deposits from the valves and cylinders before they become a problem.
