Manoeuvre the lock until it unhooks. May need to do it from inside the door.

Try removing the hook at the bottom end and not the lock end.

i got it out, i took out the actuator so it gave me more room to play around with, and took the hook out from that end like you said, and then pulled the rest out, cheers for your help man
