Hi guys,

I'm just going through a spruce up of my Calais VF2 ls3 and was looking to do my suspension and bushes.

The car is starting to bottom out on humps and just feels pretty soft and lazy.

Can anyone recommend somebody to get this looked at? Seem like peddars has a slew of upgrades for the VF commodore, are these guys OK?

I'm thinking I'll need springs, shocks and bushes. I want to keep the car feeling relatively comfortable and am open to fe2/fe3 upgrades if it doesn't become too rough.

Depends if you have a good local mechanic or you need to use a chain store. Any half decent mech will be able to install a set of KYB shocks, front strut tops, bearings and new bushes. The bushes last a long time so probably don't need doing yet.
Calais should already have FE2. What's stamped on build plate?

If you want to get ripped off, go to Pedders.....

$500 worth of repairs at a good mechanics shop will be $5000 worth of repairs at Pedders....They will say the whole front and rear end of your car is cactus, regardless if it is or not

Fair enough, so what should I be looking at parts wise? Just springs and shocks?

Start with shocks...Having it bottom out and I'd say wollowing round, the shocks would be gone.....So replace those and see how it feels from that.

How many km's on your bus? If under 150k your arms should still be ok.

What part of Sydney are you in?
Recommendations for suspension shops to visit may depend on where you are.
