FYI.
Hey mate!
Do you have a stainless steel strip that goes around the outside of the windscreen and clips onto little clips and holds them in place? If so be very careful with the windscreen rubber that you have got....... as no one ( I mean no one) makes a replacement for this.
The aftermarket rubber kits all include front windscreen rubbers that will not allow you to put the stainless mouldings back on.
Good luck!
cheers mate for the info! always good to have the help & advice from someone with the knowlegde! yeah my charger had the stainless strip the problem though was that all the rubbers on the car were perished and need to be replaced with after market items so i wont be able to put the strips back on
but im pretty sure that some other models of valiants had the same front end as the charger so i might be able to pull a front/rear windscreen rubber from the wreckers and maybe reuse it?
looks good mate how u gunna get rid of most of the rust on the back ?? jus bog it up or cut old rust out and weld new metal then bog?
cheers mate:thumbsup: no i will only use the bog when i have to as there is a company called hemi performance that does rust replacement panels for chargers and other vals! they have all the panels i need for the back end:thumbsup: heres a few pics of the replacement panels im going to get from them and also a link to the site! note the charger boot floor its claimed to be a perfect replica of the factory item and cost $2500 but i will be doing some haggling for sure:whistling: the other parts are the door to rear wheel arch section and the lower 1/4panel section! there is also a inner 1/4 pannel section the sell (no picture) and the cost for them is more reasonable with all the lower panels around the $120 mark each!

yeah im not looking foward to the work around the rusty areas im actually thinking of getting someone to profesionaly weld all the replacement panels in place:thumbsup: i know it will cost more but i want a good job done and i dont have alot of the tools to do the welding myself so will see how i go when it gets there
