One of my other posts hinted at this being previously repaired. Looks like I was on the money.
The secret to success is being able to keep those two halves
together.
See previous posts re adding screws through both halves. Unless you are able to do this, you can't achieve a proper fix.

This is what you will need to do to clamp both halves back together. I haven't shown the two through bolts where the original screws mount the actuator to the mechanism, all that's needed there is to 'ream' those original holes to accept 2x 4mm x 0.7 screws. The unit has to be sealed with goop.
Note: The furthest left hole I have drilled here is
extremely close to the plastic driven gears. There will be no point progressing further if you are unable to drill to obtain necessary gear clearance. It is
tight.
