I’ve noticed the left indicator always blows and flashes fast maybe something is shorting out? Could it relate to starting problems
not likely
very tiny possibility of short in wiring at ignition switch
but i would look for more likely causes first

can’t find exact info on the description code 46 and 48 is showing. Anyone know what 46&48 exactly mean? Is there a cam sensor and crank sensor?? Only thought there was a crank sensor behind the balancer, unless the cam sensor is behind the water pump?

Just replace the sensor behind the harmonic balancer.

Ok so for one final push before changing the CAS I’ve been waiting for the car to die and test everything. Anyways whenever it did die I poured cold water over the sensor and it fired (because it always happened when I was out not at home very convenient...), however today it died at home and I did a few more tests such as swapping over relays etc but still no firing.

I then removed the leads at the coils and discovered there was no spark....
So... now I am unsure whether the DFI is dying from heat soak or faulty or the CAS is actually faulty. If anyone can clear up what the computer engages first (CAS or DFI) to fire the engine it would save the hassle time and money :D I’m certain the DFI is first..?

cheers !

cas tells the dfi the engine is rotating
or in your case not telling dfi engine is rotating
pouring water on sensor is 99.9% confirmed
crank sensor is so common, i would replace with genuine before considering other faults

Cheers for clearing that up. Is Delphi the genuine or is there a GM part? Thanks
